Bloomberg Surveillance: The Fed Decides 09/18/24

Jon Ferro, Lisa Abramowicz and Tom Keene host a special edition of "Bloomberg Surveillance" covering Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell's remarks. Fed policymakers cut their benchmark rate by 50 basis points, double the reduction predicted by most economists, although investors had put close odds on whether officials would go by 25 or 50.
