The City of Joburg and City Power have been granted leave to appeal a court judgment in favour of Eskom. The High Court in Joburg had ordered them to pay Eskom over a billion rand, plus interest for the cost of bulk electricity supply services. But the pair cried foul, saying critical aspects of the evidence were not fully considered by the court. They launched an application to appeal, and it was granted.
