'Israel rebuffed peace plan' says Lebanese ambassador to the UK

Hezbollah's assassinated leader Hassan Nasrallah had agreed to a three-week ceasefire shortly before he was killed, Lebanon's ambassador to the UK has told Sky News. When asked if rumours the late Hezbollah leader had backed a ceasefire were true, Rami Mortada said "yes" and that the Lebanese government - which is not run by the militant group - had agreed to the scheme. "Yes, we expressed our agreement to this scheme that was laid out by the US, UK and 15 other nations," he said. "Unfortunately, also, what happened when Netanyahu reached New York? He just rebuffed all this peace plan and is still doing that."
