A water crisis has gripped the community of Bergnek, outside Polokwane in Limpopo, for almost three months. Residents say they are forced to rely on a nearby river for household consumption. This is despite concerns about the water's safety for drinking and washing. They say numerous attempts to engage the Polokwane municipality and their ward councilor have fallen on deaf ears.
