George Municipality's disaster management officials said another victim of the multi-storey building collapse in the town had died - a day after the person was rescued from beneath the rubble.
The person died in hospital on Friday. No further details are available
This brings the number of fatalities to nine, according to the municipality. Forty-four people are still unaccounted for.
