Northern Cape | Community agitated by Government's failure to build a clinic

3 hours ago 20

Residents of Smithsmine near Barkly West in the Northern Cape have expressed anger towards the provincial Department of Health for failing to provide them with a clinic. The residents - who have been living in the area for more than forty years - are forced to travel long distances to the next town to access health care services. They say this has had a negative impact on their health - especially for children who need immunisation and those on chronic medication. They accuse the health department of being unconcerned about their wellbeing. For more news, visit sabcnews.com and #SABCNews on all Social Media platforms.
