The DA in Gauteng says it will nominate, Cilliers Brink as mayoral candidate, despite his political defeat. Provincial DA leaders joined their Tshwane colleagues, at a media briefing in Pretoria to respond to the removal of Tshwane Mayor, Cilliers Brink. They plan to ask their national leaders to intervene in the matter through the Government of National Unity and possibly vote Brink back into power. Brink was voted out of his position yesterday after the ANC tabled a motion of no confidence against him citing a slew of failures in the municipality.
