The Public Investment Corporation has reported that the total assets under management grew by 3.6% or R95 billion to almost R2.7 trillion. The government-owned fund manager has proposed a dividend payment of R145 million to the fiscus. The PIC says it has implemented the majority of the recommendations of the Mpati Commission that saw the fund manager reform to improve governance matters amongst other issues. The Auditor General issued an unqualified opinion with findings where the AGSA raised concerns of instances of irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure.
