South African Immunologist and Physician, Professor Malegapuru William Makgoba, says South Africa has not done enough to keep alive the legacy of academic and political activist Zachariah Keodirelang Matthews. Makgoba was delivering the keynote address at a public lecture held at the University of Fort Hare in Alice to celebrate a century since ZK Matthews became the first graduate of the institution. During his address, Makgoba highlighted the inconsistent commemoration of some African struggle heroes. Reporter Sidima Mfeku reports.
