REPORT: Digging deals — MandA transactions surge to $10-billion in SA mining sector in 2023/24

South African mining companies were involved in merger and acquisition transactions in the 12 months to the end of June 2024 that amounted to just over $10-billion. That exceeds the combined total for the previous five years. But while MandA was up, a lot of other metrics went south.
