Western Cape | Teacher job cuts looming

Teachers and education activists in the Western Cape say the Provincial Education Department's decision to cut around 2 400 contract teaching positions, will have will have a severe impact on the quality of learning in the province. The Department recently announced the plans to cut teaching jobs. It says it was forced to take the decision, due to the insufficient funding it received from National Government.
