Brandwag flats | Verification process for all tenants causes uproar

The Mangaung Human Settlements Directorate has embarked on a verification process for all tenants in the Brandwag social housing flats. Going door to door, tenants are required to provide various documents including a payslip not older than three months, identity documents and affidavits to confirm their occupation. Government employees and high-end business people have been occupying the Brandwag flats meant for low income individuals of a pay bracket of 7 500 per month or less.
