Estina Vrede Dairy Farm | The case has dragged on for so long: Elton Hart

The NPA Investigating Directorate says it will reinstate the Estina Dairy case urgently. It says it is disappointed with the Free High Court decision to struck off the roll the R280 million Estina Vrede Dairy matter. The judgment follows the defence application to have the matter removed from the roll, citing undue delays. This matter emanates from from alleged looting of the Free State Department of Agriculture and Rural Development between July 2012 and April 2014. The first arrests on matter were made in in 2018 and later withdrawn provisionally. The matter was revived in 2022. Elton Hart of the University of Johannesburg's Law Clinic joins us for analysis.
