In every US presidential election since 1980, a gender gap has been apparent, with a greater proportion of women than men preferring the Democrat in each case. But polls show that gap is widening. An NBC poll last week found men favour Donald Trump by 12 points, while Kamala Harris leads by 33 points among women.
