The Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg has heard submissions from counsel on behalf of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) that the absence of Dr John Hlophe in the October sitting is justifiable. The MK Party and Hlophe are battling it out with the JSC and others in the High Court over the JSC's refusal to postpone the October JSC sitting, pending the review of Hlophe's designation to the JSC.
