Siviwe Gwarube and her family were crushed on Saturday night when India's Suraykumar Yadav took a stunning catch in the last over of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup final to dismiss Proteas' batsman, David Miller. She posted on X that the catch was "absolutely devastating" and “caused utter chaos in this house".

But on Sunday night, it was presumably a different picture as President Cyril Ramaphosa appointed her minister of basic education.
