Public sector unions begins wage talks

2 days ago 59

Public sector unions have started with their wage consultations to seek a new mandate from their members ahead of government wage negotiations starting in September for the upcoming financial year. The current two-year wage agreement in the public sector comes to an end in April next year. The workers say they now have renewed hopes under the new administration for all parties to negotiate in good faith. The unions will be pushing for a consolidated demand that will be accommodated in the October mid-term budget policy statement.
