46-year old prisoner Freddie Owens had been on death row for the 1997 killing of a convenience store clerk. A man who provided key testimony against Owens says he lied and Owens didn’t kill the clerk. Late Friday, South Carolina's governor declined to grant any form of executive clemency to Freddie Owens and died by lethal injection.
