uMzinyathi District Municipality | Mixed reaction over renaming decision

There have been mixed reactions to the decision to rename uMzinyathi District Municipality. The District municipality is located in KwaZulu Natal and consists of the Enquthu, Endumeni (Dundee), Umsinga, and Umvoti areas. The municipality has announced that it will change its name to Prince Mangosuthu District Municipality. According to the mayor of the district, Petros Ngubane, the decision was made to honour the late and former Inkatha Freedom Party leader. The mayor joins us via teams.
