Some women in Kimberley in the Northern Cape say they are struggling to keep afloat in the current economy which favours their male counterparts. Despite trying other means to survive through business ventures, they believe they are still on the back foot. The first 2024 quarterly labour force survey shows that at least 35% of women are unemployed while only 31 percent of men remain jobless.
