Gift of the Givers provides medical outreach

Gift of the Givers has partnered with various organisations to assist people with eye care, in an ongoing effort to help the economically depressed town of Touws River in the Karoo. A number of Touws River community members were bussed into Cape Town this week for eye tests, referrals for cataract procedures, and to be fitted with spectacles. Since the outreach project started in the former railway town, various cataract operations were performed and hundreds more people assisted with glasses.
