Madiba shirt designer honoured in New York

The designer who created the world-famous Madiba shirt has been honoured with a citation by the President of the prestigious New York Fashion Institute of Technology for uplifting the creative industry in South Africa and in the African diaspora. The institution invited Sonwabile Ndamase to present his latest collection while he is also the subject of a documentary being directed by one of the Professors at the Institution where he will also deliver a masterclass to students seeking to pursue careers in the fashion industry.
