UNSC adopts draft resolution on DRC

The UN Security Council has unanimously adopted a draft resolution authorising the UN Peacekeeping Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), to provide operational and logistical support to the SADC mission in the country's east. The text underlines the need for SAMIDRC's operations to fully comply with international law, and for the mission to actively minimise the risk of harm to civilians in all areas of operation.
