Lesotho is celebrating 58 years of independence from British rule. This year's Independence Day also coincides with the mountain kingdom's bicentennial celebration of its formation. On the 4th of October in 1966, Lesotho was allowed to have Basotho leaders making it an autonomous state under the British rule.
